Jen Manuell
Jen Manuell is a designer, maker, entrepreneur, and an artistic force.
Descended from a long line of talented craftspeople and artisans, Jen grew up in a lively household surrounded by art and creativity. She carries forward this tradition through her handmade textiles, building on her fine-craft roots. Previously operating as Fish Eye Sisters, she now continues to pursue her dream of making a living by making things under her own name.
Although Jen holds a Commerce degree from Queen’s University, her journey in textiles has been largely self-taught. She’s an enthusiastic experimenter, passionate about giving traditional techniques a fresh twist. Her current focus on sewing and quilting with wool was inspired by a large stash she’s collected since she began rug hooking in 1999.
As an accomplished rug hooker, Jen has taught classes across Canada, the U.S., and England. Her work has been exhibited in both Canada and the U.S. and featured in several publications, including Simply Modern by Deanne Fitzpatrick.
