Playfully designed + carefully finished over many hours of meditative hand stitching, this cushion was just as fun to make as it is intricate!
Shapes are cut freehand + each arrangement is one of a kind. Layers of stitching are added by hand before the background is free-hand quilted (essentially doodling with the machine) + then another layer of stitching + textural elements are added by hand.
It's carefully finished with coordinating quilted wool fabric, an invisible zippered closure (yes, the cover is removable!) + filled with a quality feather-down insert, made here in Canada. Yes, Canadian made, inside + out!
