Playfully designed + carefully finished over many hours of meditative hand stitching, this cushion was just as fun to make as it is intricate!
Shapes are cut freehand + each arrangement is one of a kind. Layers of stitching are added by hand before the background is free-hand quilted (essentially doodling with the machine) + then another layer of stitching + textural elements are added by hand.
Handmade at every step.
Made with attention to detail + only quality ingredients, this cushion features Jen's hand-dyed wool flannel fabric on the front + luxurious (and durable!) velvet on the back. Free-hand quilting (doodling with the machine) adds another layer of whimsy + uniqueness. It's carefully finished with an invisible zippered closure + filled with a quality feather-down insert, made here in Ontario. Canadian made, inside + out.
