Materials: one-of-a-kind Tie Prints wool flannel exterior, Japanese cotton lining, antique brass YKK zipper (made in Montréal)
Small but mighty, this pouch is just right for holding the essentials — cards, keys, earbuds, lip balm — all the little things you don’t want rattling around in your bag. It also fits neatly inside a Petit Bag, making it a great ‘portable pocket.’
Made with my signature Tie Prints wool flannel, each pouch is completely one-of-a-kind. The process begins with plain wool, onto which I layer vintage silk neckties. Then, I transfer the dye directly from silk to wool — a method I’ve refined over years of experimentation. Even now, the results are full of surprise as ties that look similar can yield wildly different colours + prints. No two pouches are ever the same — and since ties are only so big, duplicates simply aren’t possible.
Each pouch is quilted freehand — like doodling with a sewing machine — using cotton thread and wool batting for just the right amount of texture + structure. Inside is smooth Japanese cotton lining. It’s finished with a sturdy antique brass YKK zipper (made in Montréal), sewn on the outside for easy access.
Care Instructions:
Wool is naturally resilient, stain-resistant + low maintenance. Blot spills with a paper towel or cloth. Let dry messes sit, then scratch or brush off gently before spot-cleaning. For a full refresh: zip it closed and wash by hand or on delicate in cool water. Lay flat to dry.
Each pouch is handmade by Jen in her home studio in Orillia, Ontario, Canada.
